The Olympic Refuge Foundation (the “ORF”) is an international non-governmental not-for-profit organisation, in the form of a foundation governed by Swiss law, with its domicile located at Château de Vidy, route de Vidy 9, 1007 Lausanne, Switzerland.

The ORF aims at initiating sports-related programmes directed at children, young people and vulnerable populations and contributing to their protection, health, well-being, gender equality, integration, youth development, education, social inclusion and the promotion of peace.

When we refer to ‘’we’’, ‘’our’’ or “us” in this Privacy Statement, we are referring to the ORF. When we refer to “you” or “your” we refer to you as user of this Website.


The ORF does not collect any directly identifiable information through this Website. Nevertheless, in order to enhance the functioning of our Website, we collect indirectly identifiable information as detailed below:

Please kindly note that the Fundraising Platform is a third-party website operated by our service provider Kanopy SA, under the name of Heroe5 (“Heroe5”). The ORF is not a data controller of this platform, it only receives the personal information it needs from Heroe5 in order to:

  • Provide you with a tax certificate when you are eligible to receive one;
  • Better understand your interaction with Heroe5’ Fundraising Platform in the context of the fundraising campaign;
  • Contact you in order to inform you about the ORF’s latest actions and new campaigns when you expressly agreed to receive this information.

We rely on the technical expertise of Heroe5 in order to collect funds but please be assured that we remain completely independent when it comes to allocating your generous donations to our charitable actions.

The ORF is an independent association. Nevertheless, we work in strong collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (the “IOC”).
